City offices closed Memorial Day

City of San Marcos offices including City Hall, Library, Activity Center, Discovery Center, Municipal Court, and Utility Offices, will be closed on Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day.

The Animal Shelter receiving and reclaiming department will be closed on Monday, May 31 to coincide with other City offices. Regular office hours will resume Tuesday, June 1 at noon. All adoptable animals are $21 until May 29, this special includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and medications, a microchip, vet exam, and 30 days of free pet health insurance. Emergency animal services are available by calling the San Marcos Police Department non-emergency line at 512.753.2108.

San Marcos Ride Carts Holiday Schedule

Local San Marcos “The Bus” routes and paratransit will not operate on Monday, May 31.

The San Marcos Station / Greyhound station will open Tuesday, June 1. Riders may purchase interurban daily and monthly passes on the HopThru App. Passes are available for purchase at Plaza Saltillo located at 412 Comal St. in Austin or the San Marcos Station located at 338 S. Guadalupe Street.

Texas Disposal Systems Holiday Schedule

Texas Disposal Systems will operate its usual Monday trash and recycling collection routes.
