City Seeks Applicants for Coming P&Z Vacancy

The City is seeking applicants for a Planning and Zoning Commission vacancy that will be created when Commissioner Jane Hughson vacates her position to be sworn in to the San Marcos City Council Nov. 17.

People interested in being nominated to the Planning and Zoning Commission have until Nov. 28 to submit their application. 

City Clerk Jamie Pettijohn will provide applications received by Nov. 28 to the City Council for discussion and nominations at the Dec. 2 meeting. 

The volunteer forms are available at www.sanmarcostx.gov/boards and may be filled out and submitted online. The forms may also be mailed to the City Clerk’s office, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos Texas 78666 or faxed to 855-246-9100.

To be eligible for appointment to the commission, commission applicants must have resided and owned real property in the city for a period of three years before the date of appointment.
