Sierra Martin | Managing Editor

The City of San Marcos is kicking off a Downtown Area Plan to take a closer look at the community’s vision for the future of downtown. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 22 at the Price Center located at 222 W San Antonio Street in San Marcos.

The event will begin with a Social Gathering from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and a presentation will take place until 6:15 p.m. with Interactive Activities following until 8 p.m. The city wants residents to share what they love about downtown and how they can make it a desirable place to live, work, shop, and play!

At the event, they will be asking you to weigh on a variety of topics related to the downtown area. Including historic and cultural character, multimodal connectivity, public spaces, streetscapes, housing, small businesses, and building design. The event will include interactive visioning exercises, refreshments, games, and giveaways from downtown businesses!
