SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – Central Texas Medical Center Hospice Care is hosting a “Clear the Clutter Before Christmas” donation drive to benefit the Have a Heart Thrift Store December 6 and 7.
Community members can drop off donations in the CTMC Large Community Classroom (1305 Wonder World Dr., San Marcos, Texas) Thursday, December 6 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Friday, December 7 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tax-deductible receipts will be available upon request.
Community members, who cannot make it during the “Clear the Clutter Before Christmas” donation drive, can deliver donations to the Have a Heart Thrift Store (1313 IH 35 N, San Marcos, Texas). Have a Heart Thrift store is always accepting donations.
“Donations to the Have a Heart Thrift Store are so important because the funds raised from the sales allow CTMC Hospice Care to continue providing individualized, high-quality comfort care 24 hours a day, seven days a week to our patients during the final stage of life,” said Allison Hardy, Director of CTMC Hospice Care.
Proceeds from the Have a Heart Thrift Store go directly to CTMC Hospice Care’s Family Grief Center, which provides a safe and comfortable environment to work through and express the feelings associated with losing a loved one.
The Family Grief Center offers support groups, as well as individual and family counseling, not only to hospice patients’ families, but also the community at no cost.

I stopped by the Thrift Store, which i love to support, a little after 2:00 p.m. Monday Nov. 26 and found everything closed. Was unable to leave items because their hours have temporarily changed. Here is a phone number at the Thrift Store: 512-392-6788. They are closed on Fridays at the present time.
Hi Sally,
Thanks for sharing! We were not aware of the changes to the shop's hours. I have updated the article as well to include the shop's new temporary hours.
Sincerely, Terra Rivers, Managing Editor
Thank you. I'll stop by again.
