Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – The Hays County Historical Commission gained a new member January 23 when volunteer Gina Rogers was sworn in by Precinct 1 Commissioner Debbie Gonzales Ingalsbe.

Historical Commission Chairwoman Kate Johnson noted that this was the first-ever mid-term member to join the group – individuals serve two-year terms that end each December in even-numbered years.

Rogers became interested in the Historical Commission while researching her father’s genealogy in the Dripping Springs area and in gathering information about her family’s private cemetery.
