CommuniCare Health Foundation will host the Fundraising Fashion Show Luncheon at the San Marcos Recreation Hall on July 30.
The event will mark the first in what the organization hopes will become an annual event, which will take place from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Models will showcase summer fashions and raise money for the local community.
The proceeds from the event will go toward the expansion of initiatives of CommuniCare Health’s many programs. The programs enhance the health and wellness of the 36,000 adults and 30,000 children it provides services to with more than 235,000 office visits each year.
There are four sponsorship packages as well as individual tickets residents can purchase to attend and support CommuniCare Health. Interested individuals can purchase online tickets for $35 or tickets at the door for $40.
The first Hays County CommuniCare Health Center opened in San Marcos in February 2009; the center is located at 1941 S. Interstate 35. In it’s first year, CommuniCare Health San Marcos served approximately 4,000 patients. It provides primary care, behavioral health services and preventive health care services.
In October 2010, CommuniCare opened its Kyle location at 2810 Dacy Lane; the center offers family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, dental and behavioral health care. The third CommunityCare Center opened in Wimberley as part of an expansion effort and partnership with Seton Family of Doctors.
The non-profit organization is celebrating 47 years of service to the Hays County Community by providing family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, dental, behavioral health and vision care services to thousands of uninsured and underinsured Bexar, Hays and Kendall County residents on an annual basis.
