“These probate hearings will include a court reporter so that attorneys and their clients can handle matters closer to their homes or offices if it is more convenient for them,” Judge Glickler said.
Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – Hays County Judge David Glickler, County Court-at-Law No. 2, will begin assisting citizens in settling probate matters at the Justice of the Peace courtrooms in Kyle (Precinct 2 office) and Wimberley (Precinct 3 office) in February.
Probate matters are usually heard by the two County Court-at-Law judges at the Hays County Government Center in San Marcos.
Probate matters generally refer to the admitting of wills to probate or determining heirship matters for estates that do not involve a will.
“These probate hearings will include a court reporter so that attorneys and their clients can handle matters closer to their homes or offices if it is more convenient for them,” Judge Glickler said. “I’d like to thank Judge Beth Smith and Judge Andy Cable for allowing me to use their courtrooms to bring this service to areas outside of San Marcos.” He noted that he anticipates adding a location in Dripping Springs at a later date.
Judge Glickler will be in Kyle on Thursday, February 1, at 1:30 p.m., and in Wimberley on Wednesday, February 7, at 3:00 p.m.
Attorneys and other individuals who are interested in attending these localized dockets can contact the County Court-at-Law offices at 512-393-7625 to make arrangements.
