CTMC Honors Area Seniors With $1,000 Scholarships

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS — Twelve local students were awarded a scholarship from Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) because of their academic achievements, community involvement and future career goals at a reception on May 29.

Each of the following high school seniors were chosen by the committee to be awarded a $1,000 scholarship that can be applied to tuition, books and/or living expenses during their first year of college or vocational/trade school.

Eugenia Agobe – Home Schooled

Thomas Bates – San Marcos High School

Irene Diocares – San Marcos High School

Cassandra Grouette – San Marcos High School

Daniel Kiyuna – Lehman High School

Evan Mayhew – Wimberley High School

Madison Mendez Jones – San Marcos High School

Yamilet Nava Quezada – Lockhart High School

Alicia Rios – Jack C. Hays High School

Kylie Torres – San Marcos High School

Ejine Uzor – San Marcos Academy

Julian Ybarra – San Marcos High School

“Helping deserving students pursue their dreams is an honor,” said CTMC President/CEO Anthony Stahl. “This event is always a highlight for me personally and for our hospital team. There is nothing better than awarding these scholarships and wishing the students all the best in their bright future.”

To continue expanding its mission beyond caring for patients, CTMC has been awarding scholarships to area high school seniors for almost 30 years.
