CTMC Offering 100 Free Mammograms To Community Women

“Hearing that you have breast cancer can be such devastating news, but early detection is one of the most important steps on the journey to remission,” said CTMC President/CEO Anthony Stahl.

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) is once again partnering with Community Action to offer 100 free mammograms to area women who do not have the means to pay for one.

“Hearing that you have breast cancer can be such devastating news, but early detection is one of the most important steps on the journey to remission,” said CTMC President/CEO Anthony Stahl. “That is why we pleased to be able to offer free mammograms again this year and encourage the women of our community to get screened.”

To determine if you are eligible for a free mammogram, call Community Action at 512.392.1161, EXT. 305, or call the Live Oak Health Partners Community Clinic at 512.805.5650. To schedule a mammogram at CTMC, call 512.753.3661 or visit. www.CTMCMammo.com.

In addition to free mammograms, CTMC will raise awareness and funds for breast cancer through the following events taking place throughout October. Money raised will benefit the CTMC Foundation’s Emergency Cancer Fund that assists those who are undergoing cancer treatment.
