SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) will raise awareness and funds for breast cancer through various events throughout the month of October.
Money raised will benefit the CTMC Foundation’s Emergency Cancer Fund that assists those who are undergoing cancer treatment.
Since 2007, the CTMC Foundation and its pink partners have raised $230,345 in the local fight against cancer. These funds help qualifying families
September 25-October 31: Tanger Pink Card Savings
Tanger Outlet Centers will sell reusable Pink Cards for $10. They are good for 25% off one item per store per day at participating stores with unlimited use during the timeframe.
Shop with a physical re-usable card or use the convenient unlimited digital version. Proceeds benefit the CTMC Foundation Emergency Cancer Fund and national organizations.
October 3: Breast Cancer Support Group
CTMC’s Breast Cancer Support Group will meet Thursday, October 3 in CTMC’s Small Community Classroom from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Cancer survivors, warriors and family members are invited to learn and share great tips for healthy living and creating a healthier life. Learn more by calling 512.753.3553.
October 3: San Marcos Academy Pink Out Volleyball
JV plays at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity plays at 6:30 p.m. at the Jamail Special Event Center.
October 12: Pink Heals Hays County 5K

October 16: Pink Worship Service
The CTMC Chapel will hold a luminaria worship service open to the community from 10:00 to 10:30 AM. Recognize loved ones, light a luminaria and lift up prayers together.
October 18: San Marcos Academy Pink Out Volleyball
The SMA Bears will play Schertz John Paul II at 7:30 PM at Ingram Stadium on the SMA campus.
