CTMC HOME HEALTH PARTNERS WITH CITY TO PRESENT ‘FINDING BALANCE’ CLASS FOR SENIORS
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation has partnered with Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Home Health to introduce a new program for seniors.
“Finding Balance” is an exercise class designed to help individuals 60 and older to strengthen their balance, which improves safety by decreasing the risk of falls. Added benefits include an improved confidence, enhanced strength and flexibility, a boosted immune system and a maintained or increased level of mobility. People of all activity levels are encouraged to attend.
The first class will take place on January 21 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center. “Finding Balance” will take place at the same time and location on a monthly basis on the following dates: February 25, March 18, April 22, May 20, June 17, July 15, August 19, September 16, October 28, November 18 and December 16.
Participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing and rubber-soled shoes. For more information, please call the CTMC Home Health office at (512) 753-3584.
