CTRMA: Weekly I35 Traffic Update

TxDOT knows you’ve got to get where you need to go. And while construction is tough on everyone, TxDOT is trying to do everything it can to minimize disruptions.

Southbound I-35 right lane closed at RM 1431 for 1/2 mile

Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 30 through Thursday, June 1

Two ramps on the southbound I-35 frontage roads between RM 1431 and FM 3406 are being reconstructed and reversed to address traffic congestion and improve I-35 frontage road and mainlane operations.

  • Weekly scheduled lane closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
  • There are no scheduled lane closures Friday, May 26 through Monday, May 29, 2017.

PROJECT ACTIVITY

Closures are weather permitting and updated on Tuesday and Fridays.

  • Southbound I-35 right lane closed at RM 1431 for 1/2 mile
    • Nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 30 through Thursday, June 1

FUNDING

  • Construction cost: $9.2 million (State Proposition 1)

SCHEDULE

  • Construction start: November 2016
  • Anticipated construction completion: Spring 2018, weather permitting
