Did You File Your Flood Insurance Paperwork? If So There is More Paperwork To Complete

As you know some who were damaged in the recent storms had insurance with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
“Evidently, however, the NFIP program has both their logo and FEMA’s on their letter head. When the NFIP responds to the insured, people are seeing both logos and some may believe this means they are already registered for FEMA assistance.” said  Robin Smith Media Relations Specialist with FEMA.
“We need people know this does NOT mean that they are registered with FEMA. If you have insurance with National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) you will need to register with both,” said Smith
You can register with FEMA by calling 800-621-3362, going online at www.disasterassistance.gov,  or going to one of the registration areas that FEMA has set up around the state.
