Disaster Recovery Center Reopening at New Location

The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center reopens today at noon at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins

Hours of operation are:

  • Weekdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Sunday – Closed

The Disaster Recovery Center is a readily accessible facility where flood survivors may go for information about FEMA or other disaster assistance programs, or for questions related to a FEMA case.

Some of the services include:

  • Guidance regarding disaster recovery
  • Clarification of any written correspondence received
  • Housing assistance and rental resource information
  • Answers to questions, resolution to problems and referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance
  • Status of applications being processed by FEMA
  • SBA program information
  • Disaster Unemployment

Residents and business owners in Hays County who sustained losses can begin applying for assistance online anytime or using toll-free telephone numbers 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.
