Join Austin Animal Center for part two of Dog by DogWest this Saturday, March 17, from 10am – 7pm, at 7201 Levander Loop.

Adoptions will be free for more than 200 dogs who have been waiting to find their forever homes. Adoptive parents also will be given a free supply of goods to take home with VIP dogs.

A Platinum Pup will come with a free crate, harness, bag of food and ID tags. A Gold Dog will go home with a free bag of food, harness and ID tags, plus other goodies while supplies last.

Linkin Bark and Aerosniff will be back for encore performances starting at 10 a.m. Confirmed sightings of Lady Paw-Paw, Bark Wahlberg and Elon Husky were plentiful last weekend and this week we hear that Billie Howliday, Diggy Azalea, James Earl Bones and Vera Fang will be making appearances.

More than 100 dogs found forever homes at DXDW last weekend and even more dogs are crossing their paws that they’ll find a home this weekend.

DXDW activities have been continuing all week, starting with a “puppy showcase” and more waived fees on Sunday and a “Downtown Dog Walk” on Wednesday featuring the cast of Handmaids Tail.

You can visit the Austin Animal Center Facebook page for photos and announcements of pop up events happening on Thursday and Friday at Facebook.com/AustinAnimalCenter.

And you can follow them by #DXDW on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

The Animal Services Office operates the Austin Animal Center, the largest municipal animal shelter in Central Texas and the largest “no-kill” shelter in the United States. They provide shelter to more than 17,000 animals annually.

Their stated goal is to provide a safe place for lost and homeless animals and to educate our community in order to prevent animal homelessness and promote compassionate treatment of animals and responsible pet ownership.
