The voter registration deadline for several states around the U.S. has come and gone, but Texans still have a little time.
Texans have until October 7 to register to vote for the November 2019. After October 7, any newly submitted registration forms will be submitted and applied to the 2020 Elections.
Voters can register in person at their local elections office or by mail. Local municipalities and organizations held events last week in honor of National Voter Registration Day, a national holiday celebrating the US democracy, to help first-time and veteran voters register.
Registration forms can be downloaded here and mailed or delivered in-person to the Elections Office at the Hays County Government Center.
All mailed forms should be addressed as follows:
Elections Administrator 712 South Stagecoach Trail Suite 1012 San Marcos, TX 78666-5999Early voting will open on Monday, Oct. 21, and end Friday, November 1 and can be done at any polling location in a voter’s county of residence.
This November, Hays County will participate in the County-Wide Polling Centers, which will allow voters to vote at any of the polling centers in the county on election day, Tuesday, November 5.
