On December 25, 2019, at approximately 2:05 AM, a male suspect entered the Corner Store of Dripping Springs, at the intersection of Sawyer Ranch Road and U.S. 290, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier.
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident and identified the suspect as John Robert Garrison, White Male, DOB; 12/03/1980.
It was found Garrison had multiple outstanding warrants, including two for aggravated robbery, with the Austin Police Department and a warrant for a parole violation from the Texas Board of Pardons and Parole.
On January 7, 2020, officers with the Austin Police Department Robbery Unit and agents from the Lonestar Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Garrison at a hotel in North Austin without incident, and booked him into the Travis County Jail.
No further information is available at this time and the incidents are still under investigation.
