DuBois Gallery 8 Returns To The Price Center

San Marcos, TX – The Price Center will host the upcoming 8th offering of DuBois Gallery, a reoccurring, free, Pop-Up Art event, on Sat. Feb. 11 from 5-9 p.m. in downtown San Marcos.

A variety of DuBois’ founding artists will be joined by a few new ones for a night of locally created art, light appetizers, wine, music and a chance to pick up a special gift for your Valentine.

DuBois Gallery 8 is part of a series of art events happening that night, including a film showing and more Gallery shows.

DuBois Gallery was established in 2015 and is the brainchild of Tony Belmonte, Thom Rogers, Darin Wood, and Rene Perez.

These artists banded together to create a space to show their works.  Since its inception, the gallery has employed over 40 artists and musicians.

This Saturday Tony Belmonte, Rene Perez, Tony Garza, Christine Terrell, Lisa McPike Smith, Chris Douglas, Thom Rogers, Jacqueline Overby, Mat Jobson, Norman Bean, Pat Steger, and Darin Wood will show at the Price Center.

“The art scene in downtown San Marcos is growing thanks to efforts like DuBois Gallery Pop-Up and a variety of other opportunities to show and purchase local art,” said Clay DeStefano, Price Center executive director. “The Center is thrilled to be included in the energy and effort.”

DuBois 8 work will be on display and for sale in the Price Center’s historic 1893 and 1910 former church sanctuaries.

In addition, Tiramisu for Two – a locally shot and produced film – will be playing at The Spot, and 218 StudioWorks, Dahlia Woods Gallery and Jo’s Café will also be featuring and selling new works.

For more information, please call (512) 392-2900 or stop by the Price Center at 222 W. San Antonio St., Mon. – Fri., 9-5 p.m.
