An event every day that begins at 5:00am, repeating until November 27, 2017


The Winter Polespear Tournament will be three weeks long where participants will have the opportunity to legally spearfish non-native, invasive tilapia and suckermouth catfish, as well as remove red-rimmed melania and giant ramshorn snails.

Participants will be allowed to register for three time slots, each timeslot 5 hours long. After you have registered on Event Bee, email Nick Menchaca at to sign up for your time slots.

We will have prizes for: Most weight removed: First, Second and Third; Top Haul: First, Second and Third; Most Suckermouth catfish; First Tilapia; Heaviest Suckermouth Catfish; Heaviest Tilapia; Shortest Suckermouth Catfish; Shortest Tilapia; Most Snails; Most Trash Removed.
