Everyone Deserves To Be Healthy

Hays County, TX – September 22, 2016

Hays County Food Bank believes that everyone should be given the opportunity to stay healthy this fall. During one of their six weekly public food distributions, 70 clients received a free flu shot. All of these individuals did not have any other form of health insurance. Flu shots were provided and administered by Walgreens. The service was coordinated by the Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc.

In 2015, The Hays County Food Bank and its 20₊ partner agencies distributed 690,397 pounds of food to an average of nearly 12,000 food insecure residents a month.
