Farmer Fred’s Fall Harvest Carnival Returns To San Marcos

Featuring free carnival games, a variety of activities and a children’s costume contest, the Fall Carnival is fun for the entire community.

Fall is here, and it’s time to celebrate at the annual Farmer Fred’s Fall Harvest Carnival. The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department encourages community members and visitors of all ages to join them on Sat., Oct. 28 from 6-9 p.m. at San Marcos Plaza Park, 206 N C M Allen Parkway.

 

This beloved community tradition is free to the public thanks to the support of generous sponsors and volunteers. Featuring free carnival games, a variety of activities and a children’s costume contest, the Fall Carnival is fun for the entire community. There will be a haunted hayride for $1, along with train rides and concessions for a small price.

 

The children’s costume contest registration will be held at the old Fish Hatchery building from 6-6:45 p.m. The judging times are divided into the following age groups:

  • 3 and under – 7 p.m.
  • 4-6 years old – 7:30 p.m.
  • 7-9 years old – 8 p.m.
  • 10-12 years old – 8:30 p.m.
