For the month of February, Main Street is proud to present the Downtown Business of the Month award to KnD’s for their longevity as a Downtown business and their contributions to the local community.
Owners Kristan Alvarez and her mother, Della Lucio, started KnD’s downtown as a resale store inspired by their interest in fashion. Later, they started sewing unique looks, many of them for Texas State University’s football game days.
By appealing to this fan base, the mother and daughter team gained customers who were specifically searching for Texas State University-inspired apparel. “All of the dresses that we make are different, and you will never see someone walk in with your dress,” said Della Lucio when displaying their most recent line of dresses.
KnD’s not only participates in events organized downtown, they occasionally host their own as well. KnD’s is celebrating their 6th anniversary this year. Congratulations to KnD’s for their superb work as a Downtown business and involvement in the community!
