FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING…
SHOWERS AND STORMS PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS ALL OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING.
STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL WITH RATES OF 2 INCHES PER HOUR. WITH MANY AREAS ALREADY SEEING MULTIPLE INCHES OF RAIN OVER THE PAST WEEK AND SOILS REMAINING SATURATED.
THE POSSIBILITY FOR FLASH FLOODING CONTINUES. ALSO…LEVELS ON MANY AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE ELEVATED AND FLASHY RIVER RISES ARE POSSIBLE.
ADDITIONAL STORM TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH SOME LOCATIONS POSSIBLY AS HIGH AS 6 INCHES. THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH MAY HAVE TO BE EXTENDED AS LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL MAY CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT AND SATURDAY.
