KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Former Texas State men’s basketball player Deris Duncan was named to the 2017-18 NABC Honors Court, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced Tuesday afternoon.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes those men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.
Duncan, a native of Fishers, Ind., picked up the award for the second-straight year. He is slated to graduate from Texas State in 2018 with a degree in psychology. He is also a two-time Texas State Academic Award winner.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:
