Friday’s Rains Damaged State Highway 21, Forces Closure

The Texas Department of Transportation has closed State Highway 21 near FM 2001 in Niederwald due to damage from recent flooding. Crews will be replacing a washed out bridge culvert on SH 21. The roadway will be closed until further notice. Traffic can detour via SH 80, SH 142 and the SH 130/US 183 frontage roads.

 

Road signs have been placed alerting drivers of the bridge closure. Motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area.
