Randolph Goodman Retires From Gary Job Corps

After 26 years as the “What a Wonderful Day Guy,” Randolph Goodman retires from Gary Job Corps Center; Randolph will be onto the next chapter in his life.  Randolph has been an active member of the San Marcos and Central Texas community with his memberships in the San Marcos, Kyle, and Lockhart Chambers of Commerce.

He also served with the San Marcos Noon Lions, San Marcos Rotary, and numerous boards and commissions serving the people of Central Texas.  His influence was also felt throughout the State of Texas as he traveled and shared the achievements accomplished by the students from Gary Job Corps Center with the Texas Legislators, Mayors, Commissioners, Senators, Congressmen and women of Texas.

When asked what you can say about your career at Gary, Randolph stated, “Well, I have had a wonderful career, 26 years ago I came to the Gary Job Corps campus and knew right away this was what I wanted to do with the rest of my working life.  I saw in the students, myself when I was 17 years old needing guidance and I wanted to be that mentoring person. I have been so blessed by having great mentors in my life and wanted to pay it forward.”

“Fair Winds and Following Sea,” Randolph, as you go on with retirement.
