Gary Job Corps’ December Employee of the Month

Matthew Santy was selected as the December Employee of the Month for the Safety and Security Department for his outstanding dedication to the Gary Job Corps Center and surrounding community.

Matthew has been employed by the Gary Center for 2 years as the Safety & Security Supervisor.

He is a criminal justice graduate from Texas State University.  Booker Presley, Safety & Security Director said that he received the Employee of the Month award because “Security Supervisor, Santy was very brave in his intervention with a distraught student. He took extreme measures to keep the student from harm. Without his urgent and selfless efforts this could have resulted in a serious incident. We want to thank him for keeping this a near miss.”
