Gary Job Corps SGA, Recreation To Host 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness 5k Walk/Run

Gary Job Corps Center Recreation Department and Student Government Association will host its second annual 5k Walk/Run on Sunday, October 27, at the Gary Job Corps Center in San Marcos.

The event will begin at 8 AM on Sunday; the course starts at the front gates and continues through the property.

The SGA will host a sign-up day on Saturday, October 26, from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 1 PM to 4 PM at the center’s front gates.

Organizers will be accepting sign-ups Sunday morning from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM on the morning of the race.

There is a $20 participation fee. All proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Awareness, Austin, Tx.

The top three men and women, who finish the race, will receive medals. The center will also provide a pancake breakfast for finishers.

The first 100 participants to register will receive a T-shirt.
