Get High On Marinara At New Urban Bricks Pizza In San Marcos

Each pizza starts with fresh, never frozen dough made in-house every morning, with gluten-friendly and wheat options available.

San Marcos, Texas – Urban Bricks Pizza, a fast-casual chain serving next generation, quick Artisan pizza and salad, recently opened its doors in San Marcos.

The new restaurant is located at 420 University Drive, directly across from Texas State University, and features the brand’s first full Pizza Bar, serving a variety of liquor, 12 draft beers and frozen margaritas. Urban Bricks also offers a large pet-friendly patio for pet lovers who like to dine with their dogs and delivery for those who prefer to stay home.

To celebrate the first full Pizza Bar, all dine-in guests will receive a free 11-inch build-your-own pizza on Saturday, April 29 from noon to 2 p.m. The line will start forming at 11 a.m. with DJ Rascal, free samples and fun giveaways.

To keep the party going, the Pizza Bar will offer rolling drink specials; buy one, get one free pizza from 6 to 8 p.m.; special appearances from the Red Bull Girls, Dos Equis, Austin Eastciders and more; and a live performance from Landon Bullard & the Mostly Sober.

In honor of Urban Bricks’ pet-friendly patio, 100 percent of the proceeds from all dessert pizzas purchased on April 29 will be donated to the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter.

Urban Bricks allows guests the option to build their own high-quality pie, customized to their taste buds. Each pizza starts with fresh, never frozen dough made in-house every morning, with gluten-friendly and wheat options available.

Customers can choose from more than 30 ingredients that are prepared fresh each morning. Urban Bricks uses flour, cheese and tomatoes imported from Italy. Guests also have the option to select from build-your-own salads, wings and dessert pizzas.

The San Marcos Urban Bricks is the tenth location to open in Texas and is owned and operated by Texas State University alumnus Dylan Neiman. During and after college, Neiman operated bars and restaurants on Austin’s Sixth Street.

Following that, Neiman worked at Chase Bank in South Texas for two years, where he met his business partner, Jim MacKenzie. The duo toyed with different business endeavors to pursue together when MacKenzie would visit the bank. Neiman, who lives 15 minutes from the original Urban Bricks location, discovered the franchise opportunity and as a locally-based business, they were convinced it was the right investment for them.

“I’m excited to open Urban Bricks near the TXST campus and share my love for authentic Neapolitan pizza with the community,” said Neiman. “I fully stand behind this product, and guests are sure to appreciate our fresh, hand-made dough and quality toppings.”

Perfectly combining true, Italian Neapolitan pizza with American flare, Urban Bricks features a stunning lime green oven imported from Italy. The rotating oven cooks the pizza to perfection in just two minutes.

Outside of the build-your-own option, guests can select from eight Foundation Menu pizzas designed by World Pizza Champion Michele D’Amelio. Favorites include the Three Little Pigs, which features red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon and Italian sausage, or the Bad Hunter, which features red sauce, mozzarella, gorgonzola, red onion, mushroom, green pepper and pesto drizzle.

“We’re thrilled to unveil our first full Pizza Bar as we further expand our brand nationwide,” said Urban Bricks Pizza CEO and Founder Sammy Aldeeb. “We give people what they want, and I guarantee we serve the best customizable pizza in the San Marcos area. Urban Bricks goes where others haven’t, which will keep people coming back for more.”

Urban Bricks currently has 11 locations open in Texas and Ontario, Canada, with six under construction and 25 committed leases. There are more than 120 committed stores through Urban Bricks’ master franchise agreements. Franchise investors are breaking ground in Texas, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oregon, Missouri and Canada.
