Texas State Graduate College To Host 10th Annual International Research Conference

Concurrent panel sessions with student presentations will take place 9 AM to 3:30 PM. Nov. 14. The conference will open with a distinguished research panel consisting of award-winning faculty 5 to 6 PM Nov. 13. A reception and poster session will follow at 6 to 7:30 PM.

SAN MARCOS – The Graduate College at Texas State University will host the Tenth Annual International Research Conference for Graduate Students on Nov. 13-14 in the LBJ Student Center.

More than 150 graduate students from various disciplines at Texas State and other institutions in Texas and beyond will be presenting their research papers and posters.

The conference is free and open to all (including interested undergraduate students), though registration is required by both participants and attendees.

Cindy Royal, professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and founding director of the Media Innovation Lab at Texas State, will deliver the keynote address, “Bending, Breaking, and Blending the Academy: Innovations in Teaching and Research,” at 12:30 PM Nov. 14. The talk reflects Texas State’s 2018-2019 Common Experience theme, “Innovation.” Top master’s and doctoral papers will be recognized.

International Research Conference for Graduate Students is sponsored by Common Experience, College of Applied Arts, McCoy College of Business Administration, College of Education, College of Fine Arts and Communication, College of Health Professions, College of Liberal Arts, College of Science and Engineering, Office of International Affairs, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, and the Graduate House of Representatives.
