Grande Communications Acquires Texas-Based Cable Company Centrovision

Grande Continues to Expand Texas Footprint

Grande Communications, the Texas-based broadband communications company offering Internet, TV and phone services, announced today the purchase of Centrovision, a Central-Texas cable and Internet company based out of Temple, TX. Grande already provides service to areas of Waco, Dallas, Midland, Odessa, Austin, San Marcos, San Antonio and Corpus Christi.

Centrovision customers are located primarily in Bell County, Texas, which includes the cities of Temple, Belton, Salado, Troy, Morgan’s Point, Moody, Rogers, Little River and Pendleton. This acquisition not only increases Grande’s footprint and presence in the Central-Texas region; most importantly, it also improves services and product offerings for Centrovision customers. Once Grande engineers and construction crews complete a network upgrade, Centrovision customers can take advantage of Grande’s higher Internet speeds (including 200Mbps, 300Mbps and 400Mbps), TiVo with Netflix access, more TV channels including those in HD, advanced phone service and much more.

“Grande is thrilled to expand its services into this vital and growing region of Central Texas,” said Matt Rohre, senior vice president of operations and general manager for Grande Communications. “We look forward to welcoming Centrovision customers and employees into the Grande family as we move forward with the integration of facilities.”

“I am pleased to see such a mutually beneficial deal. This will surely benefit customers in Temple and the surrounding area,” said Andrew Lucano of Seyfarth Shaw, the legal firm involved in closing the deal.

Centrovision customers have already been alerted to the change with letters from both Centrovision and Grande.
