PRINCETON, NJRCN, Grande and Wave announce the appointment of industry veteran Patrick Knorr to the new role of Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President of Commercial Services for the company.

Patrick Knorr, Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President of Commercial Services.

In 2018, the three companies joined forces to create a market leader in next-generation, high-speed data services for residential and business customers with a presence spanning coast-to-coast. Knorr, who previously served as Executive Vice President of Business Solutions for Wave Broadband, now leads the combined commercial services divisions for the new combined company.

Together, RCN, Grande and Wave are dedicated to creating custom fiber network products and services for businesses of all sizes, from national carriers to localized small businesses.

The combined companies cover a vast and growing nationwide fiber footprint spanning nearly 20 metro areas in 11 states including California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Washington, D.C.

“Commercial services is our fastest-growing segment and Patrick’s appointment underscores our combined commitment to ensuring that businesses nationwide have the most robust fiber network and services available, so that they can continue to grow and take advantage of future technologies,” said Jim Holanda, CEO of RCN, Grande and Wave.

Paul Koss, Senior Vice President of Carrier and Wholesale

Knorr is already building out a robust team, beginning with the promotion of Paul Koss to Senior Vice President of Carrier and Wholesale for the combined operations of RCN, Grande and Wave.

Koss is tasked with a unified company strategy to grow the Carrier and Wholesale business, including Cell Backhaul, across the company’s footprint.

“At a time when innovation in technology is thriving, the security and reliability of fiber connectivity has become fundamental to economic growth for enterprises of all sizes,” said Knorr. “As an organization, we are committed to making fiber infrastructure more accessible and affordable to support today’s technological marketplace.”

The commercial services team will focus on delivering fully featured and attractively priced products in a consistent approach nationwide.

The national entity is continuously expanding its fiber networks to seamlessly provide highly localized and scalable fiber-based technology solutions to many of America’s largest businesses and communications service providers under Knorr’s leadership.
