Gov. Rick Perry will be in Europe this week for an economic development trip that will take him to England, Germany, Poland and Ukraine. The governor will start the week in London with a speech on Tuesday at the Royal United Services Institute. In addition to holding business meetings in each country, the governor will explore opportunities to expand the export of liquefied natural gas from Texas to Poland and Ukraine.
On Thursday at the University of Warsaw, Gov. Perry will deliver a speech about the power of American energy as a tool for job creation at home and diplomacy abroad. He will meet with members of the Texas First Cavalry Division stationed in Poland, and visit wounded Ukrainian soldiers in Kiev. The governor will also attend meetings with government leaders in each country, as well as business recruitment events hosted by TexasOne.
The governor’s trip will be paid for by TexasOne and Americans for Economic Freedom. No state tax dollars will be used for the governor’s travel and accommodations on this trip. For more information about Gov. Perry’s schedule while he is in Europe, please contact the Governor’s Press Office.
