Gun legislation and gas prices top this week’s most read bills by Congress

Staff

The Library of Congress released a list of the top ten most-viewed bills. The list is compiled each Monday from the previous week’s metrics.

These bills could have a direct impact on legislative policies considered by the current Members of Congress.

Some of the current bills being viewed by the public include legislation on Protecting Our Kids Act, Bipartisan Background Checks Act, Assault Weapons Ban of 2021, Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention, and Gas Price Gouging Prevention.

Congress.gov is the official website for U.S. federal legislative information. The site provides access to accurate, timely, and complete legislative information for Members of Congress, legislative agencies, and the public.

It is presented by the Library of Congress (LOC) using data from the Office of the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Office of the Secretary of the Senate, the Government Publishing Office, the Congressional Budget Office, and the LOC’s Congressional Research Service.

Congressional documents from the first 100 years of the U.S. Congress (1774-1875) can be accessed through A Century of Lawmaking.
