Hays CISD Extends 100% Virtual Learning Through Friday

Hays CISD released the following notice regarding district operations for the week of Feb. 15.

Dear Hays CISD Family,

Hays CISD will remain 100% asynchronous, virtual learning for the remainder of the week.  In-person learning for those who have selected that choice will resume on Monday, February 22, 2021.

All staff should remain home and safe, working from home, with the limited exception of staff members who may be contacted by supervisors in the event they are needed for emergency operations.

To aid in a reduction of demand on the power grid, all non-emergency virtual staff meetings, including professional development activities are canceled.

Students and teachers should log-in, if possible, and work offline regarding assignments.

We understand many are without power, internet service, and even water.  Do the best you can and put your safety first.

All extracurricular and afterschool activities are canceled through Friday, February 19.

Stay safe and warm.

Tim
