Owen Sirmons and Gunnar Franchione, fourth grade students at Blanco Vista Elementary, are stars in the new Microsoft holiday commercial.
The boys flew to Canada last month to film the ad which shows Owen using a newly launched Xbox adaptive controller.
The boys celebrate a huge gaming victory at the end with Gunnar doing the floss while the new Microsoft slogan, “When everybody plays, we all win” plays across the screen.
The boys have been best friends since kindergarten. Owen has Escobar Syndrome, which forces him to spend a lot of his time in a wheelchair.
The boys went through a long audition process to land the commercial and their friendship and personalities are what landed them the job.
Their friendship is an inspiration to other kids that differences truly don’t matter.
