HAYS COUNTY – The Hays County Commissioners Court will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 9 a.m. at the Hays County Courthouse. Commissioners will discuss several important items on their agenda, including allocating American Rescue Funds, proclaiming National Influenza Vaccination Week, adopting new election precincts and more.
Hays County Commissioners will adopt a proclamation declaring Dec. 5-11 as National Influenza Vaccination Week.
Commissioners will discuss authorizing the Hays County Office of Emergency Services to allocate $2,669,000.00 of American Rescue Funds to install radio equipment on existing structures and use $2,929,300.00 to trade in or replace existing radios countywide.
Commissioners will also discuss adopting new election precincts resulting from redistricting changes throughout the county.
Hays County Commissioners will also discuss issues related to the Hays County Jail and planning projects for public safety facilities.
During the executive session, commissioners will consult with council regarding economic development negotiations associated with Project Phoenix, Project Dark Monday, and Project Wild Strawberry. While negotiating with companies interested in developing in Hays County, commissioners often use a code name until they reach a deal.
