Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – The Hays County Commissioners Court Tuesday voted to engage with the law firms of Richards Rodriguez & Skeith, LLP and the Law Office of Max Renea Hicks to bring suit against Kinder Morgan to halt the proposed route of its Permian Highway pipeline, slated to cross Hays County.
Hays County also consented to the representation of multiple parties by the retained firms, as it is expected that other parties will join in the suit.
Precinct 3 Commissioner Lon Shell, who made the motions for the action, noted that the lawsuit will not be funded by tax dollars.
As per its policy, Hays County does not share information about pending lawsuits. Additional details will be available as the law firms handling the lawsuit and Hays County deem appropriate.

After hearing today that the City of Kyle is also suing Kinder Morgan, this is the best news I have heard in years.
We The People should not have to endure this kind of destruction of our lives, lands and water by anyone, let alone a private company.
Just. Say. No pipeline across the Hill Country!
