Staff Reports
Hays County Commissioners are slated for a full agenda this morning.
Commissioners will consider the appointment of members to its Citizens Election Advisory Commission.
The commissioners will finalize the appointments for the local municipality representatives and Commissioners Lon Shell and Walt Smith’s designated representatives.
Commissioners Mark Jones and Debbie Ingalsbe and Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra named their intended representatives at a previous meeting, but no vote was taken to appoint them.
Commissioners will also discuss and consider approving a finalized job description for the Hays County Office of Emergency Services Director and provide job posting instructions.
According to the agenda, Becerra has recommended experience, qualification, certification, license and registration edits to the Emergency Services Director job description.
While the court has discussed revising the job description previously, no action has been taken on the topic.
In other news, Commissioners will consult with counsel and deliberate regarding the purchase, exchange or value of approximately 536 acres of real property located in Precinct 3 of Hays County, part of the former El Rancho Cima “Scout” property in executive session.
Possible action may follow in open court including but not limited to authorizing the execution of agreement(s) between Hays County and the Nature Conservancy related to the acquisition of fee title to the property.
The Hays County Commissioners Court will meet at the Hays County Government Center in Courtroom #7 at 9 AM for their regular meeting.
