UPDATED: Hays County Commissioners To Hold Special Meeting To Discuss Small Business Retention And More

UPDATE: The Commissioners Court will not meet on Tuesday, May 5, due to a previously scheduled cancelation.

On Friday, May 1, the Hays County Commissioners Court will hold a special meeting to discuss Small Business Retention and financial assistance for social services.

No background information was provided for the special meeting. The two items to be discussed in open court are as follows:

  1. Discussion and possible action to declare an emergency pursuant to Texas Local Government Code, Ch. 111.010{c) for Small Business retention pursuant to Chapter 381 of the Texas Local Government Code and amend the budget accordingly.
  2. Discussion and possible action to declare an emergency pursuant to Texas Local Government Code, Ch. 111.010(c) related to financial assistance for Social Services and amend the budget accordingly. 

Commissioners will also hold an executive session to consult with counsel and deliberate regarding economic development negotiations associated with project recoil. Possible discussion and/or action may follow in open court.

The meeting will be held at 3:30 PM in the Hays County Courthouse, Room 301, in San Marcos.
