Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – Precinct 1 Commissioner Debbie Gonzales Ingalsbe and Precinct 2 Commissioner Mark Jones will host a public meeting on the Kinder Morgan Permian Highway Pipeline Wednesday, March 6, at the Hays High School cafeteria, 4800 Jack C. Hays Trail (FM 2770) in Buda from 6 to 8 PM.
This is the second meeting held by a Hays County Commissioner to discuss Kinder Morgan’s Pipeline Project. Commissioner Lon Shell held a public hearing in Wimberley on January 29.
Speakers at the meeting will give an overview of the project and share information about property rights, environmental impacts, and economic concerns.
Following the presentations there will be a question-and-answer session with the audience. Hays County is one of several counties that will see a $2 billion, 430-mile pipeline project run through it by 2020.
The Permian Highway Pipeline is a proposed natural gas pipeline that will connect the Waha Natural Gas pipeline junction to markets on the Texas Gulf Coast. The pipeline will affect 16 counties in Texas including Hays.
Kinder Morgan held the first of own open houses and information sessions at the Wimberley Convention Center on February 12 and at Wallace Middle School in Kyle on February 13.
