Hays County Extends Alcohol Beverage Sales Period For Businesses In Unincorporated Areas

Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – On Tuesday the Hays County Commissioners Court unanimously approved an Order allowing restaurants and bars with licenses to sell mixed drinks, wine, and beer in unincorporated areas of the county not designated as “dry” to do so until 2 a.m. rather than ending the sales at midnight.

The change is in effect immediately and will help equalize competition between providers in unincorporated and incorporated areas of Hays County, as well as between providers in unincorporated areas of Hays County and nearby counties that already allow service until 2 a.m.
