On February 8, the Hays County Food Bank announced the departure of Chief Executive Officer of the Hays County Food Bank.
According to the announcement, Blok has played a critical role in “the development, growth and success of the organization” since 2014.
“We cannot thank Ms. Blok enough f or the unwavering commitment, passion, enthusiasm and motivation she has shown Hays County Food Bank over the past 4 years,” said Jaime Lee Case, Hays County Food Bank Board President. “She will be greatly missed by the staff, board members and partners alike. We look forward to following the success of her career.”
Blok will continue to serve the Central Texas Community by serving as the Chief Operations Officer For the Central Texas Food Bank in Austin. Case said over the next few months, the food bank will be conducting a search for a new CEO for the organization.
In the meantime, Eleanor Owen-Oshan has been named acting Hays County Food Bank’s CEO to allow the nonprofit to “continue to support [their] community partners and [their] vision to create a well-nourished community.”
