On June 1, three individuals were arrested by San Marcos Police Department during an attempt of burglary of local business. The suspects were believed to be involved in two earlier burglaries of two local hardware stores, which took place on May 25.

On June 1, three individuals were arrested by San Marcos Police Department during an attempt of burglary of local business. The suspects were believed to be involved in two earlier burglaries of two local hardware stores, which took place on May 25.
SMPD set up surveillance at Elliot Electrical Supply and caught Ulises Pompa Ochoa, Jose Francisco Pompa and Alexander Castillo while they were approaching the store with their headlights out. The fourth suspect escaped police. The original article can be read here.
Pompa and Castillo were released with surety bonds of $25,000 for burglary of a building and $5,000 for evading arrest. Ochoa is still in custody on an ICE detainer. All three individuals are from San Antonio.
Authorities were also investigating similar burglaries of stores in San Antonio, New Braunfels and Pleasanton.
