Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – All Hays County government offices will be closed Monday-Wednesday, December 24-26, 2018, and Tuesday, January 1, 2019. The San Marcos Municipal Court located at the Hays County Government Center will also be closed.
Commissioners Court will not be held on Tuesday, December 25, or Tuesday, January 1.
Hays County parks at Five Mile Dam will be open regular winter hours, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, and Jacob’s Well Natural Area will be open regular hours, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with no holiday closures.
BUDA
All City of Buda offices, including the Buda Public Library, will be closed on Monday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 25.
SAN MARCOS
City of San Marcos offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24 and 25, for the Christmas holiday, and Jan. 1 for the New Year’s holiday.
San Marcos Municipal Court, located at the Hays County Government Center at 712 South Stagecoach Road, will be closed Monday through Wednesday, Dec. 24-26, in addition to Jan. 1 to coincide with the Hays County holiday facility closings.
Additionally, the court hours on January 2nd will be 8am to 5pm. The court will resume Wednesdays 8am to 8pm operations on January 9, 2019.
Christmas and New Year’s Day trash and recycling service will move to the next service day for the entire week. Residents should have containers at the curb by 7 a.m.
The Animal Shelter will be closed for adoptions Sunday, Dec. 23-26. Animal control officers will respond to emergencies. Emergency animal services can be contacted by calling the San Marcos Police Department non-emergency line at 512.753.2108.
City facilities and offices closed on Dec. 24-25 in addition to Jan. 1 include City Hall, Library, Activity Center, Animal Shelter, Utility Offices and the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center.
In addition, the library will close early at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, it will resume regular hours on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
