Hays County Motor Unit places at the Capital of Texas Motor Chute Out

HCSO thanks everyone who supported the Capital of Texas Police Motorcycle Chute Out held March 30 – April 2, 2016 at Cabela’s in Buda.

 

 

This event benefits the Sunshine Kids and the Center for Child Protection. We had an excellent turn out this year and welcomed over 120 competitors from 40 agencies throughout the US and Canada!

 

 

Hays County Sheriff’s Office is PROUD to congratulate Hays County Sheriff’s Office Motor Officers in their exemplary performance at this year’s event.

 

This unit spends their daily shift navigating Hays County roads on a motorcycle and has worked tirelessly to hone their skills. They were able to showcase their hard work by participating over four-days in ever-changing weather conditions to include heat, cold, wind and rain.

 

The results:

1st Place – Leonard Reed Memorial Ride- Deputy Daniel Duggins

1st Place-  Division III Metrics Expert- Deputy Daniel Duggins

1st Place-  Mr. Rodeo Metric- Deputy Daniel Duggins

3rd Place- Slow Ride- Deputy Daniel Duggins

3rd Place- Division III Metrics Novice- Deputy Tate Puryear

5th Place- Division III Metrics Novice- Deputy David Gamble

2nd Place- Overall Team Award- Deputy Daniel Duggins, Deputy David Gamble, Deputy Robert Nguyen, Deputy Tate Puryear
