Hays County reports 1,670 active COVID-19 cases

Hays County Courthouse, TX – Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports 167 new lab-confirmed cases along with no new hospitalizations and one (1) new hospital discharge. There are 89 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 19,397.

The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 21,342. Hays County has 1,670 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 1,948 active cases. Hays County has had 1,012 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 45 people are currently hospitalized.

• August 6, 7 and 8 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Pfizer vaccine @ 3943 I-35 San Marcos Premium Outlets (Previously Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th); next to James Avery; across the parking lot from Victoria’s Secret.
• Monday-Friday, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines @ Live Oak Community Clinic, 401 Broadway, San Marcos, 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m.
• Every Thursday and Friday – Pfizer vaccine @ CommuniCare, 2810 Dacy Ln., Kyle, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
