Hays County reports six COVID-related fatalities since last week

Hays County Courthouse – Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports six COVID-related fatalities between October 26-November 1, 2021.

The department also reports 196 new lab-confirmed cases along with five new hospitalizations and nine new hospital discharges since the last update. There are 313 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 28,864.

The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 29,694. Hays County has 431 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 790 active cases. Hays County has had 1,341 total COVID-related hospitalizations and nine (9) people are currently hospitalized. Of those, eight (8) people (89%) are unvaccinated.

  • M-F, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines @ Live Oak Community Clinic, 401 Broadway, San Marcos,
    8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m.
  • M-F, Walk-in Pfizer vaccine clinics @ CommuniCare, 2810 Dacy Ln., Kyle, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m.
