Hays County issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a consultant to assist the county in developing and managing projects to fulfill disaster-related state and federal grant responsibilities.
The consultant will help Hays County meet Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) requirements related to mitigation in connection with any federally declared disaster within Hays County.
Services required include administrative duties, labor and procurement duties, financial responsibilities, acquisition duties, environmental services, and construction management, including submitting and setting up project applications in the Texas General Land Office (GLO) system.
Providers will assist the county, the GLO, and/or grant recipients in the completion of CDBG-MIT qualified non-housing projects.
Respondents may be qualified to provide grant administration services for non- housing projects. Grant administrative services must be performed in compliance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and guidelines issued by the GLO.
The deadline for RFP submissions is August 6. The county anticipates awarding the contract in September.
