Staff Reports
Hays County Sheriff Gary Cutler and former Hays County Sheriff Don Montague will once
again be hosting the “Scramble Fore Kids” golf tournament at Quicksand at Woodcreek
in Wimberley on Friday, April 30, 2021. Join law enforcement for a day of fun as we
support the youth of Hays County.
Each year the funds raised from this special event are returned to the community. The
proceeds from this year’s event will provide scholarships to graduating seniors from each
high school with-in Hays County. The tournament also benefits CASA (Court Appointed
Advocates for Abused and Neglected Children), 4H, FFA and the Hays/Caldwell
Women’s Center.
The tournament format will be a scramble. The teams will be comprised of law
enforcement officers, friends of law enforcement, and sponsors. The entry fee is $75 per
player (payable to “Hays Sheriff Scholarship Fund”) and includes a catered barbeque
lunch. The tournament will also have a raffle, silent auction, and lots of door prizes.
Sponsorship and registration information may be obtained by contacting Donna Stirman
at 512-393-7808 or via email at donna.stirman@co.hays.tx.us. Register at your earliest
convenience as space is limited. Check-in on the day of the tournament begins at 7:00 a.m.
with tee-off time at 8:30 a.m.
